Here at Berne®, we work hard to ensure you get the best quality workwear. We stand behind the performance of our apparel and promise that, subject to normal use, our garments will be free of manufacturing defects for one full year from purchase.

Despite rigorous quality control protocols, defects do occasionally occur. If you receive a garment that does not live up to our standards, please contact us immediately at 888-77-BERNE, or orders@bernedirect.com, and we will refund or replace the item. Our warranty does not cover garments that have been misused or abused, modified with embroidery, decorated, or otherwise altered.


Return Policy

At Berne we stand behind our garments, and we also strive to give you the best ordering experience possible.

How do I return an item?
If you ordered the wrong item or would like to return an item for some other reason, please contact our Customer Service team at 888-77-BERNE, or orders@bernedirect.com, and provide your name, order number, email and phone number. We will provide a Return Authorization Number and instructions for you to ship the merchandise back to us.

There are two options for return shipping.

Option 1: We provide a return mailing label for $10
We will email you a return mailing label, and you just print off the label, re-package the product and attach the label to the outside of the box. Then you can drop it off at your local UPS Office. We do charge a flat rate of $10 to cover postage and handling on the returned item. This will be deducted from your refund once we receive the return.

Option 2: You handle return shipping
If you would like to avoid the $10 charge, you can ship the product to the address below at your own expense. We'll inspect the returned product and issue a refund.

Please note that we will only accept returns that have a Return Authorization Number. Please note that returned garments must be in original condition to receive a refund. Once we receive and inspect the returned garment, we will issue a refund.

What do I do if you sent me the wrong item?
If you received an item you did not order, please call 888-77-BERNE or email orders@bernedirect.com. We will promptly issue a return address label and get the correct item shipped out to you, and we will cover the cost of the postage and handling for both the replacement and the return of the original.

What do I do if I received a defective item?
Though we take quality extremely seriously and maintain rigorous quality standards, a rare event may occur in which a defective product reaches your doorstep. If it does, call 888-77-BERNE or email orders@bernedirect.com and we will work with you on getting the damaged product returned and a replacement item sent out. And, of course, we will cover the cost of the postage and handling for both.

How long do returns take?
Once the returned item is received, please allow 3 days for return processing.
